The Grand Academy of Ballet 2026 Summer Intensive – Pasadena was designed for beginner, intermediate to advanced ballet students, to focus on pure Vaganova Syllabus training to guide each student in improving their ballet skills as a professional dancer. Classes will be held in-person at our world class Ballet Academy in Pasadena, CA and will run from June 16th to August 7th, 2026. Students will be divided into different levels and follow of a detailed curriculum to gain maximum development and growth.

We have assembled a unique and experienced team of instructors and world-renowned guest teachers, specialized in the Vaganova syllabus, to provide your child with correct information and elite level technical training. Our rigorous summer program is based on the Vaganova method specifically designed to focus on precision of technique, increasing strength, stamina and flexibility, improve greater musicality with artistry to elevate a student’s technique to new heights. This summer we are featuring a high-level Rhythmic Gymnastics coach from Rhythmic Academy of Pasadena to help with body conditioning and flexibility.

Available to boys and girls ages 7 to 19 with classes offered Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM for 3 two-week sessions, with a Intermediate Pre-Intensive Workshop before the Intensive and an Advanced Summer Workshop for the strongest students after the 3 sessions. Below is the breakdown for each level and the assigned teachers.

Pre-Intensive Workshop – June 16-18:

Level 4-7 or ages 11-19 and up with minimum 3 years’ experience

Our Pre-Intensive Workshop is designed to prepare the dancer for our Summer Intensive and class placement; this is recommended for all students’ levels 4 and up that will participate in the summer intensive.

4 hours per day / 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9 AM to 1 PM)

Advanced Summer Workshop – Aug 3-7:

This fast-paced Advanced Summer Workshop is designed to evaluate and reinforce the effectiveness of our Summer Intensive training. Dancers will be challenged through comprehensive technique work covering all material studied during the intensive, with a strong focus on strength, precision, musicality, and artistry.

Eligibility:
• Levels 4 and up only
• Ages 13–19
• Minimum 3 years of ballet training
• Minimum 2 years of pointe training
• Completion of at least one Summer Intensive Session (Session 1, 2, or 3)

This workshop is ideal for dedicated dancers ready to demonstrate growth, consistency, and readiness for the next level of advanced training.
