Edmond Baghdasaryan is a classically trained ballet artist and Vaganova Method ballet teacher, currently based in Los Angeles, where he works as a freelance performer and educator.
Born on March 21, 2000, Edmond received his formal ballet training at the Yerevan State Choreographic College, before continuing his advanced studies at the prestigious Lavrovsky Moscow State Academy of Choreography, one of the leading institutions rooted in the Russian classical tradition. Following his graduation, he performed with the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre, and later joined the Spendiaryan National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Yerevan, Armenia.
Alongside his professional performing career, Edmond pursued academic studies in Psychology and Philosophy at Yerevan State University, enriching his artistic perspective and deepening his understanding of learning processes, discipline, and human movement—insights that strongly inform his approach as a teacher.
Edmond has participated in international ballet competitions and toured extensively with ballet companies across the United States, Estonia, France, Russia, and Saudi Arabia, gaining broad stage experience in both classical and contemporary repertoires.
Now based in Los Angeles, Edmond is actively collaborating with professional organizations including Hollywood Ballet and Grand Ballet Academy, while teaching ballet classes grounded in the Vaganova Method. As an instructor, he emphasizes correct placement, musicality, strength, coordination, and artistic expression, with a strong focus on clean technique and thoughtful progression. His teaching style is structured, supportive, and detail-oriented, making him effective with both developing students and advanced dancers.
Edmond brings a unique balance of classical rigor, international performance experience, and intellectual depth to his teaching, inspiring dancers to grow not only technically, but also artistically and thoughtfully within their training.
